Today marks one year since my friend’s boyfriend died from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He was diagnosed at age 23. He was an excellent writer and kept a blog throughout his treatment chronicling his experience. You can read it here.

Please think of those who you have lost prematurely and do the following:

1) Go for regular check-ups. I haven’t been to a primary physician in a few years so I made an appointment yesterday.

2) Eff the funk and check the “to-dos” off your list. Take that painting class, move to a better location, improve your relationship with your parents, save for your ideal vacation… there’s no time to waste.

If you would like to donate to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society here is their website.
